Today:

The Silveraires Leisure Marching Team was formed in June 1993 when a few ladies wanted some form of exercise. Since then the team has grown to 21 marchers. Our ages range from late fifties to late seventies. A small number of ladies have marched before. The rest have just been taught as they joined.

Diana Clark is our Leader and Instructor and we practice for one and a half hours each Wednesday morning with a 4 week break over Christmas and New Year. We learn a new display each year so that we do not get bored doing the same routine.

We are a team who fundraises all year so that we can travel to the South Island, Top of the South and the National Display Days.
