- Promote, encourage and administer the Sport of Leisure Marching.
- Create opportunities for participants to reach their potential and gain maximum
enjoyment from their participation.
- To uphold the Motto of Leisure Marching, Fun, Fitness and Friendship.

Some things
about us:
- Tasman Blue Beats has been marching together 6 years.
- Team consists of 14 ladies ranging in age from 42 to 62.
- We have 12 Foundation Members.
- 5 Members had never marched.
- 5 Members have school age children
- On the Marching Field we look and are very professional. Our Marching Display is 5
minutes long without a whistle.
- We attend Top of the South, South Island and National events each year.
- We are active in our community by participating in the local Santa Parade and have
displayed our skills at School Galas, Street Parades, Rest Homes and at the Opening of a
Book Review in the local Public Library.
- Tasman Blue Beats are well respected and known for being friendly and ready to help
others. We have helped form two new teams and also ran a training day for another team
that were struggling with some of the basics of Marching.
