Three views of a participating team and their views of the event
We (Kapiti Gold Coasters) had a fantastic weekend. We
flew up Friday morning and flew home Sunday early evening. The whole weekend was run very
smoothly and thanks to the Auckland teams that put a big effort into organising the
weekend. The marching was great to watch and see a few different teams that don't make it
down to our neck of the woods. Saturday night was a blast with the rock n roll theme and
everyone having a good night of partying. (I still can't believe that the marching ladies
are up dancing with the lights still on 5mins after the evening function starts, they
certainly don't like to waste any party time ah!!!) Our team were pleased when we received
a prize for one of the best dressed teams at the evening function (1st prize that the team
has ever won apparently). A big thanks to all the teams from down our way with the
friendship and support throughout the whole weekend. We are now looking forward to the
local display days to get as much practice in before our next away trip to the Nationals
in March 2010...........also looking forward to the next North Islands that is going to be
in Tauranga Sept 2010...thanks to the Tauranga teams that came forward on Saturday and
accepted the flag.....
