Today:

Over 100 teams make up Leisure Marching in New Zealand with well over 1000 marchers. Teams are of "mature" ladies and meet at various events hosted by local teams throughout the country for a day of: a march past parade, individual team routines winding up with a serpentine or maze march with all teams on the floor. Teams can be formed by any number of keen people for marching, fitness, friendship and fun. It is non competitive.

There is no National Body. Hosting of the major events - North Island, South Island and the Nationals are decided by delegates from each team.

What's Going On:

Changes on the Way

Web Site:
After 11 years it is time to pass the Web site on to someone more skilled and up to date with modern technology.

I am pleased to advise that Mark Remfrey has offered to take over and will sometime in April publish a redesigned site (still at http://www.leisuremarching.org.nz). At that point the advice of dates, registration forms, change of team contacts etc. should be directed to Mark at the designated email address in the site.

I hope everyone will support the site, perhaps also with any newsworthy items for publication.

Meanwhile please direct any changes to me as normal.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me and this site. I have enjoyed maintaining the web presence.

Link Newsletter:
It is pleasing to note that Gay Cubitt has taken this on which will now be distributed via email and published on the web site. First issue is intended to be in early April.

It is hoped that everyone will support the new newsletter. Without support it will be very difficult to maintain.

Anyone can subscribe by emailing Gay at linknewsletter2017@gmail.com.

Current team contacts on the web site will be automatically subscribed.

Robin Radford
